Watford are a smaller club with greater ambition in terms of net spend compared to us, who have showed relatively little for our size. Results don’t lie and look at watford so far.

No not at all. I would never play Carroll again unless as an impact sub. As soon as he plays the opposition can just walk 15yrds up the pitch and that kills us.

I suspect that we didn't push up our back line as a line (as we try to do* even at the level I play at, and even when we're in possession).

If you push forward and the whole back line doesn't, the player you're directly opposing can get behind you without being offside.

I sometimes think that Bilic doesn't coach his side well enough in his tactics, and it's that it's more that lack of coaching than the tactics themselves.

E.g., a high back line is a calculated risk, with benefits as well as dangers, a jagged back line amplifies that risk, with no advantages.

Well that's a different thing. Should we be in a better place than Watford? Of course. We've spent more, have bigger gates, bigger drawing power to players, higher wages etc. The club have wasted and continue to waste the inbuilt advantages we have over competitors.

But the truth is that ship has sailed. We are where we are. I have no axe to grind with Watford. I don't feel entitled to any better than a Watford supporter. I feel that sort of entitlement needs to be earned by good decision-making from the club. It's absurd to criticise us by comparing us to Watford - it's obvious the level that we're at, just pretending we're somehow better than that because 'we want to be' is childish imo.

Man utd have a bigger support than us and much higher revenues and that's you would expect them to a achieve more .By the same token we have bigger support than Watford higher revenues.Or is that not our it works mate.

Spurs look a real "team" with class players. Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Sissoko work so well together. But Arnoutovic and Hernandez were good for us, and even Masuaku did a job. The fightback was good but came too late. Carroll needs more PL games to get anywhere near the player he can be, and how we missed Antonio when he went off. Mid table mediocrity on what I've seen so far this season.

The only thing that saw us gain any momentum was the red card (Hernandez goal was completely against the run of play). so if we can just get an opponent sent off in each game we should be fine. We weren't being split open at will when Antonio was on, but we weren't exactly an attacking force either. Thought we were well less than the sum of our parts for 80% of the match. It was good to see some fight and a competitive finish, but it would be nice if it didn't take 70 minutes to get there.

We was playing well and not just lumping the ball into the box then Antonio got injured and Bilic brought on Carroll which mean't to me the Spurs defence breathed a sigh of relief as they can take that battering of this sort all day. Sakho should have been brought on to plat Antonio's role to limit the need to punt the ball to Carroll and keep with the plan that was already working and putting them under pressure. Then if we had still gone 2-0 down in the 1st half i would have brought on mid way through the 2nd half.

The change he made to me clearly made it advantageous to Spurs as they are set up to deal with him seeing as most their deep lying defensive players were his size and he was getting pushed out wide a lot just to get on the ball.

Just seen goals on Sunday. I thought we were hard done by a little with refs not booking their players at the time. Now I've seen it in detail we were absolutely stitched up. 3 penalties And first one was offside as he gained an advantage and it wasn't 2nd phase.

Now I'm all pissed off again

I know we have obvious deficiencies and I'm offering no excuses, but we were still stitched up by some crap officiating, an offside goal and more than one decent penalty shout, same old story.

I think played well. Ayew or sakho for antonio was the change though, although hernandez was getting nothing from a world class defensive 3.

I honestly cant see how slav can get knocked though. 10 more mins and we'd have nicked a 3rd
